History of my city

Mandi bahauddin,located in the Punjab province of Pakistan,has a rich and diverse that traces back to ancient times.The area is believed to have been part of the old Gandhara civilization and has seen influences from various empires,including the Mayurans,Greeks under Alexander the Great, and later the Mughals. The modern city of Mandi Bahauddin was established in early 20th century during British rule.It was originally a grain market("Mandi") founded by a Sikh landowner Bahauddin,from whom the city gets its name.Due to its strategic location between the Jehlum and Chenab rivers,it quickly grew into a bustling trade center. Post independence in 1947,Mandi Bahauddin became part of Pakistan and has since developed into an important district.
